Two friends, John Juniper and Jeff Solorio, founded DITA in Los Angeles during 1995. Their goal was to design innovative eyewear with a unique look and feel. DITA eyewear perfectly combines edgy and elegant with an East meets West style.

Thomas Burberry, a young dressmaker, founded Burberry in 1856. Thomas was only 21 years old when he opened his first store on Winchester Street, Basingstoke. The brand focused on providing quality outdoor attire to British sportsmen. In 1879, Thomas Burberry invented gabardine, a tightly woven weatherproof fabric, which revolutionized rainwear and led to the invention of the classic Burberry trench coat. The American company, Bausch & Lomb, founded Ray-Ban in the 1930s. During that time, many US Air Force pilots complained that the glare of the sun was giving them headaches and altitude sickness. A new type of sunglasses was invented with green lenses that would reduce glare without hindering vision. Thus the sleek Ray-Ban Aviator was born. The aviators went on sale to the public in 1937 and were an instant hit.
Several decades later, Ray-Ban is still culturally relevant and now considered a symbol of cool that is worn by celebrities and public figures all over the world.
